Business As Usual Despite Suspended River Wye Access

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to address some recent concerns and clarify an important matter regarding our operations. We have heard on numerous occasions from members of the public, that there is a strong belief that we are closed or unable to hire canoes due to the suspension of river access from the Bont at Glasbury by Powys County Council. This suspension is in place while Natural Resources Wales renews the consent required for a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

We want to assure you that Wye Valley Canoes is still fully operational. Our canoe centre in Glasbury-on-Wye continues to provide the exceptional service you have come to expect. With over 50 years of operation, we are committed to serving our community and visitors for many more decades to come.

Our canoes are launched from our private launch site, and we have the necessary permits to continue our business as usual. This means you can still enjoy the beautiful River Wye with the convenience and reliability of our services.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our customers for the incredible support we have received over the years. Your loyalty and custom mean the world to us. Additionally, we are proud to say that our customers consistently show respect for the river and the environment, helping us preserve this natural treasure for future generations.
